Chalo, Dive India's Last Unspoiled Reef System with a Certified Guide and Zero Crowds!

The reef wall at Kadmat drops from four metres to thirty-five in the space of a boat length. You go over the edge at the signal of your guide, and the wall opens below you — hard coral, sea fans the size of dining tables, a resident Napoleon wrasse the size of a suitcase watching you with one eye. This is Indian reef diving: not the Maldives, not Thailand, not Indonesia — but a system of atolls that has been largely closed to visitors until recently, which means the coral is in a condition that experienced divers describe as disorienting. You are not used to it looking this healthy. This 7-night, 8-day Lakshadweep luxury dive package covers four diving environments across three islands: the Kadmat eastern reef wall, the Bangaram outer reef where Napoleon wrasse and sharks patrol the coral heads, and the Minicoy reef system — the southernmost atoll in Lakshadweep and one of the only places in India where manta rays are consistently encountered between November and January. The package includes 8 guided dives across the three islands, conducted by PADI-certified dive masters from the resort teams. Accommodation is at 5-star level where available — Bangaram Island Resort's premium beach suites, and boutique-standard dive lodges on Kadmat and Minicoy. Safari Sutra arranges all Island Entry Permits (which are island-specific and require advance documentation), sequences the diving across locations to build progressively, and pre-confirms vegetarian meal options for every resort and lodge on the route. This trip is appropriate for certified divers with at least 10 logged dives. An introductory discover-scuba option is available for beginners on the Bangaram lagoon only (non-wall, shallow water).

We route this package to include Minicoy — a logistical decision most dive operators skip because of the permit complexity and the government vessel schedule. But Minicoy's reef system is measurably different from the northern atolls, and the manta encounter rate there between November and January is the highest in the Indian subcontinent. We process the island-specific permits for every island on the circuit individually, track the government vessel schedule, and build a contingency day into the Bangaram segment so that a weather delay on the Minicoy crossing doesn't compress the dive schedule.
“"I've dived in Komodo, Sipadan, and the Maldives. The Kadmat wall surprised me — I wasn't expecting that level of coral health in India. The manta at Minicoy on Day 8 was the single best dive of my life. Safari Sutra handled the Minicoy vessel permit without a single email from my end." — Siddharth Rao, Bengaluru”
