Tour Overview

Route

Mumbai → Chicago → Nashville → New Orleans → Miami → Mumbai

Duration

9N / 10D

By midnight on your third night in New Orleans, someone in your group will be dancing on Frenchmen Street to a live jazz band they've never heard of before, and the rest of you will be watching from a table outside a bar you walked into because the music was loud and the door was open. This is not the America on most Indian travel itineraries. This is the America that rewards the curious. This 9-night USA music and culture road loop for Indian friends groups starts in Chicago — where the architecture is dramatic, the deep-dish pizza is as good as reported, and the blues clubs on the South Side have been running in some form since the 1940s. A domestic flight then drops you in Nashville, Tennessee, where the live music on Broadway is continuous and free, and the honky-tonk bars serve Indian vegetarian-friendly sides alongside the brisket. Then south to New Orleans: the French Quarter, Café Du Monde's beignets at midnight, the Garden District's plantation-era houses and the best cocktail culture in the country. The loop closes in Miami's South Beach — Art Deco architecture, the ocean, the food markets and the low-key glamour of a city that's figured out how to have a good time without shouting about it. Safari Sutra has built this tour around smaller group logistics — 4 to 8 friends travelling together — with hotels chosen for neighbourhood character, domestic flights sequenced to minimise dead time, and Indian vegetarian restaurants pre-identified in each city so the group always has a reliable fallback alongside the local exploration. This itinerary is built for friend groups aged 25–45 who know the standard American cities already, or who specifically want the cultural and musical depth of the American South and Midwest. Four cities, twelve live music venues, one beignet at 1 AM, and the conviction that the best American travel happens off the obvious circuit.
