Rajasthan Family Odyssey: Forts, Tigers & Desert Nights

Chalo, Where Maharajas Played and Tigers Still Roam!

ToursRajasthan 6n 7d Family Tour

Tour Overview

Route

Jaipur → Ranthambore → Pushkar → Jaisalmer

Duration

6N / 7D

The kids will recognise Jaipur's City Palace from their textbooks — but standing inside the Hawa Mahal courtyard, where pigeons swirl around pale pink façades and chai vendors shout across the lanes, is nothing like a classroom. This 6-night Rajasthan family journey threads together three distinct worlds: the layered history of Jaipur, the quiet thrill of a jeep safari in Ranthambore tiger territory, and the otherworldly silence of the Jaisalmer desert at night. Families travel from Jaipur through Ranthambore National Park — where Bengal tigers are seen regularly between October and April — before crossing into Pushkar for a peaceful afternoon by the lake, and finally into the Thar Desert for a tented overnight near Jaisalmer's golden sandstone fort. Each leg is a full change of scene and mood. Safari Sutra has structured this route so families never backtrack, rest stops fall at sensible midpoints, and the pace allows for the inevitable unplanned hour — an extra game drive, a street food stop, a longer swim at the hotel pool. Indian vegetarian meals are confirmed at every property, and we pre-select family-friendly hotels with adjoining rooms where needed. Best for families with children aged six and above who want a bit of everything Rajasthan offers — palaces, jungle, desert — without being shuttled through museum after museum. This trip gives kids a story to tell when school resumes.
